About Arrowhead Gun ClubÂ
Arrowhead Gun Club is a nonprofit organization located in Lunenburg County, Virginia. Established in 1972, the club has a facility consisting of thirteen skeet fields, two trap fields, a twon hundred yard rifle range, fifty yard pistol range, a clubhouse, and sixty campsites. Members and volunteers constructed the facility, which currently has over four hundred active members.
Arrowhead Gun Club hosts approximately thirty shooting sports events per year. The events are managed by the members as volunteers. All proceeds collected are disbursed to cover the expenses of grounds and equipment maintenance, targets, food, and facility utilities. In addition to revenue from hosting events, the club also receives revenue from annual membership dues.
Arrowhead Gun Club is governed by a twelve-member board of directors, which consists of a president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary, as well as various subcommittees that manage the club’s events.
Arrowhead Gun Club is the home club for the largest Scholastic Clay Target Program team in the state of Virginia. The SCTP team, which started at the club in 2021, focuses on youth development from elementary through collegiate levels. Arrowhead Gun Club donates a portion of its proceeds to the SCTP team to assist in the purchase of equipment, supplies, and fees required for the youth team to compete.
